A UNIQUE Aston Martin Estate car was built so a wealthy landowner could fit his fishing gear in the back is set to sell for £70,000.
The unnamed scottish laird enjoyed driving the luxury car but wanted some place to put his fishing gear.To meet the laird’s demands, coachbuilders at the car makers knocked up the only Aston Martin DBS Estate in existence.
The owner bought the vehicle in 1971 and used it for numerous fishing trips in the Highlands.He sold the extended automatic car in 1975 to the current owner, who is now selling it at auction after 36 years.
The car is being sold in Buckinghamshire on May 19th by auctioneers Bonhams with a pre-sale estimate of £70,000.
